A modern water management laboratory has been opened at
Tajik Agrarian University, equipped to international standards. The educational
facility will support academic research and practicals conducted by students,
postgraduates, and Ph.D. candidates in such areas as hydraulics, hydrometry,
hydraulic engineering, mechanics, drinking water supply, agriculture, and
melioration. Collaboration with foreign scientists is also planned for joint
projects. In general, the laboratory is aimed at water resource management,
which is quite relevant for the Central Asian region.
«The laboratory is unique and the only one of its kind in
the country. It is a solid and equipped base for our university’s hydromelioration
faculty that helps to train specialists at an international level. Conditions
have been created here for improving practical skills and knowledge, as well as
conducting academic research in melioration and water management,» noted lecturer
of Tajik Agrarian University Shahriyor Sattorov.
