Ahead of
the New Year, mobile festive fairs have started operating across Turkmenistan.
Over 850 retail outlets have been set up throughout the country, offering a
variety of holiday goods at affordable prices. One of the main highlights is,
of course, New Year trees, available in various sizes, from half a meter to two
meters, and in colors ranging from traditional green to festive white. The fairs
also feature garlands, home holiday decorations, and sweet treats for gifting.
«Every
year, new local products are introduced at these markets. To delight
children, chocolate gifts are available in various packaging. Toys and home
decorations, such as garlands and ornaments, are especially popular. At the
markets, residents can find everything they need for the New Year celebrations
and create a cozy atmosphere at home,» said salesperson Davran Yagmyrov.
«It is
customary to present gifts on New Year. I came to the market to buy gifts
for my family and friends. This year, textiles are also available here,» shared
Ashgabat city resident Tavus Bekiiyeva.
