Modern arrangements of Kurmangazy’s kuis are now available on major global
streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Yandex Music. The
debut album features ten works by the renowned Kazakh composer and kuishi
(performer of kuis), including Adai, Saryarka, Balbyrauyn, Serper, and Alatau.
It is the first music release by Qazaq Creative Production, established under
the Creative Industries Development Fund. The Ministry of Culture and
Information says the album will help introduce global audiences to the rich
heritage of Kazakh musical culture. Overall, the project aims to promote the
finest examples of Kazakhstan’s musical heritage through modern technology and
digital platforms.
