Silk Way

SilkWay is the international branch of the Jibek Joly TV channel. SilkWay is the first national satellite TV channel of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The channel’s content is 100% domestically produced.

The TV channel's programs are divided into several themes and cover such areas as culture, traditions, history, tourism and investment capacity of Kazakhstan. The channel also broadcasts the latest and up-to-date news on a daily basis with an emphasis on Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

The satellite international channel began broadcasting on October 25, 2002 in Kazakh, Russian and English. In 2018, broadcasting in Kyrgyz and Uzbek was additionally launched. As part of the multi-language channel format, each viewer can select a preferred language sound track in any of the 5 languages.The Jibek Joly/Silk Way TV channel is avaiable in 118 countries of the world. The TV channel launched the information and analytical TV show 'New Time' in English on September 1, 2023
