Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Hungary on a state visit. He was welcomed
by the country's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán at the airport of Budapest. During
talks with the Hungarian President and Prime Minister, the Head of State is
expected to discuss prospects for developing strategic partnerships in
political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. President Tokayev
also plans to meet with leading Hungarian business figures.

economic cooperation
Notably, for more than
30 years of partnership, trade relations between the two countries have been
actively developing, and economic projects have been implemented. Trade turnover
between Kazakhstan and Hungary exceeded $131 million in the first eight months
of this year, which is six percent higher than in 2023. Last year, the two
countries recorded a trade volume of $187.5 million. Meanwhile, Hungarian investments
in Kazakhstan's economy have exceeded $300 million over the past 20 years.
