Today, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired a meeting of
the Security Council on economic issues at the Akorda Presidential Residence.
The discussion focused on an algorithm of actions in connection with the impact
of tariff conflicts on the global market situation. The Head of State emphasized
that this requires preparedness for any development scenario and that the government’s
task is to prevent a decline in the population’s well-being, as well as in the growth
rate and investment volumes. At the same time, plans for the implementation of
major infrastructure projects and digitalization must remain a priority.
Special attention at the meeting was given to improving monetary policy and ensuring
financial stability. President Tokayev issued instructions to government
agencies.
