Kazakh schoolchildren become world’s top young chemists

Kazakh schoolchildren won four medals, including two gold and two silver, at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO-2025), held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This outstanding result once again confirms their status as some of the world’s best young chemists. According to the country’s Ministry of Education, the students’ achievements highlight the high quality and global recognition of Kazakhstan’s education system. More than 360 students from 93 countries participated in one of the world’s most prestigious intellectual competitions. Last year, Kazakh students won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal at the same Chemistry Olympiad.
