Kazakh startup receives Google grant

A startup by Kazakh school student Igor Martynyuk has attracted attention in Silicon Valley. TabAI, created by the 11th-grade student from Pavlodar, has secured angel investment and a grant from Google for infrastructure expansion. The school student developed an AI-powered assistant capable of analyzing a user’s digital activity, helping to structure tasks and manage workflows. His project, designed for attention management, aims to combat information overload and multitasking. Today, the product is used by around 20,000 users worldwide. TabAI is valued at $2.5 million.

«It gathers everything you need to get done, including your messaging apps, what’s happening on your screen, and what you’re doing after summer school. If everything goes well and I demonstrate progress, that is, if my company and the startup continue to grow, they’ve offered to invite me to a full autumn program, where participants receive $500,000,» said Igor Martynyuk, student from the Innovation School in Pavlodar.

Igor has also received an invitation to one of the world’s most well-known accelerators. He will take part in the educational program YC Startup School. Despite the age restrictions, the accelerator team made an exception for the young developer.

«He was into sports and played football in middle school. And it was only in the 8th grade that he began to show a genuine interest in information technology. He is a winner and prize-winner of various competitions, and he started out with research activities at Zerde,» said Tatyana Migunova, Principal of the Innovation School in Pavlodar.

The Kazakh school student has also become an official ambassador for Cursor, one of the fastest-growing startups in the field of AI. In this role, he will contribute to the developer community in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, organize educational events, hackathons, and meetups, and promote the culture of AI development.
