A presentation of
digital projects of the Digital Government Support Center was held in Astana.
Over the past four years, more than 1,300 processes have been optimized and
over 20 digital solutions introduced in a variety of sectors ranging from
transport and industry to education. Projects already implemented in government
agencies and the quasi-public sector were presented at Demo Day. Among the key
ones is a mobile app for registering minor accidents without police and court involvement,
which has reduced insurance payout times from 40 to 5 days. Another service
enables online registration and certification of unmanned aircraft systems,
cutting service delivery time threefold.
«On a daily basis,
we monitor more than 300 information systems which belong to different
ministries, akimats, our regions and more or less are connected to our
governmental system. What we do is really to understand what exactly is being
done in the sphere of information technology, how we are changing, what else we
need to change and why. So, based on this analysis, we are also implementing
the monitoring of the projects,» said Aliya Ospanova, Executive Director of the
Digital Government Support Center.
«We will now
actively support the digitalization of regions, taking into account their
specific needs. For example, in the Kostanai region, where agriculture and
automobile manufacturing are priorities, digital solutions will focus on these
industries. In Karagandy, a metallurgy cluster, the emphasis will be on
workplace safety, which is very important, and production development. Together with the
relevant ministries, we will develop proposals to improve all of this,» noted Bakhtiyar Mukhametkaliyev,
General Director of the Digital Government Support Center.
