Kazakh students from vocational education
institutions are undergoing international certification for the first time - an
important step toward global recognition of their professional skills. The
initiative is being implemented as part of the Year of Working Professions and
serves as a new tool for validating the qualifications of graduates of
technical and vocational education programs. Certification is conducted on the
Certiport platform, which is recognized in 152 countries, including the U.S.,
Canada, European states, Asia, the Middle East, and Australia. The certificates
obtained are valuable not only in Kazakhstan but also internationally.
«The first authorized testing center in
Kazakhstan has opened at the Talap non-profit joint stock company, along with
five additional sites at colleges across the country. The first international
certificates have already been issued, with four students successfully
validating their professional competencies. This will enhance their
competitiveness in the labor market and enable them to undertake internships
abroad,» noted the official spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of Education Mereke
Amangeldykyzy.
Notably, Kazakhstan is making a confident step
toward integrating its vocational education system into the global educational
and labor landscape. Thus, young professionals are given a chance to make their
mark on the international stage.
