Last year, the
Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) invested approximately $1.5 billion in Kazakhstan’s
economy, with Kazakh projects making up 60% of its portfolio, as was reported
by EDB Chairman Nikolai Podguzov to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This year,
the financial institution is considering projects valued at over $4.5 billion.
Additionally, more than $1 billion will be allocated to the modernization of
infrastructure and energy facilities, as well as transport and logistics
projects. The Head of State commended the EDB’s significant contribution to the
economy and expressed the country’s commitment to further cooperation.
