Kazakhstan has completed its sowing campaign, covering
approximately 24 million hectares of farmland, according to the Ministry of
Agriculture. Particular attention was given to diversification, taking into
account crop rotation, climate risks, and market trends. As a result, the sown
area for highly profitable and in-demand crops was expanded. Oilseed crops
increased by 500,000 hectares and fodder crops by 100,000 hectares-over 6.5
million hectares in total. Experts believe this will not only meet domestic
needs but also create conditions to enhance the export potential of the
agro-industrial sector. The Ministry noted that all work was completed within
optimal agrotechnical timeframes, thanks to the coordinated efforts of farmers,
effective cooperation with regional administrations, and government support. A
total of 700 billion tenge was allocated for this year’s sowing season.
