Kazakhstan, China elevate partnership to new level

Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China has increased by 12 percent since the beginning of the year, reaching $36.5 billion. This was announced during a meeting between Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and Chinese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao. The parties discussed the outcomes of joint efforts to enhance bilateral trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation. According to Bektenov, elevating relations to a new level promotes increased trade turnover, expanded exports, and greater investment inflows. He emphasized that increasing freight traffic along the Trans-Caspian Multimodal Corridor would serve as a promising tool for unlocking the potential of cooperation between the two countries. For his part, the Ambassador highlighted the growing interest of major Chinese investors in Kazakhstan, indicating a favourable business climate.
