of his works included into the Memory of the World international register by
the decision of UNESCO. Furthermore, TURKSOY has declared 2024 as the Year of
the Great Poet. According to the Head of State, the humanistic ideas reflected
in Magtymguly Pyragy 's works have become even more relevant today, amid numerous
global challenges. President Tokayev also emphasized that the steady
development of Turkmenistan, alongside large-scale socio-economic and political
reforms, will contribute to strengthening the country’s centuries-old statehood.
«Neutral Turkmenistan
makes a significant contribution to enhancing security and stability in the
world, promoting diverse cooperation in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
Under Turkmenistan’s initiative, the UN General Assembly declared 2025 the
International Year of Peace and Trust. The achievements of your country have
become a testament to the fulfillment of Magtymguly Pyragy’s cherished dream of
building a strong Turkmen state,» said Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
President Tokayev also
touched upon the events organized in Kazakhstan to mark the 300th anniversary
of Magtymguly Pyragy. These events will contribute to the development of
cultural diplomacy and promote the great philosopher’s legacy. Tokayev

particularly in their humanistic ideas and their concern for the future of
their peoples.
«Their rich spiritual
heritage, which holds a special place in the multifaceted culture of our
peoples, is a treasure of all mankind. Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are united
by common spiritual roots, a shared history, and centuries-old bonds of
friendship. These enduring values have become the foundation for active
dialogue between the two states, which contributes to the further rapprochement
of our peoples and the deepening of Kazakh-Turkmen relations,» the Head of
State added.
