Days of Kazakh Cinema underway in Moscow

Residents and guests of the Russian capital will have the opportunity to see vibrant works by Kazakh filmmakers from recent years. Among the movies presented are «Kazhymukan», «Patriots Time», «Boxer», «Operation Nabat», and «Dos-Mukasan». The screenings were launched in the Kazakh pavilion at VDNH (Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy) as part of the Days of Kazakh Cinema. The festival is being held under the motto «The Synthesis of Asia and Europe». Speaking at the opening, the Kazakh Ambassador to Russia, Dauren Abayev, noted that the project would become an annual tradition.

«We have been planning this project for a long time, and it’s no coincidence that we decided to start with Moscow. We brought five quality films by our directors here. In addition, Dauren Abayev mentioned that no event in Kazakh families can take place without the songs of the Dos-Mukasan band,» noted Kurmanbek Zhumagali, Chairman of the State Center for Support of National Cinema.
