President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated the Union of
Cynologists of Kazakhstan on the outstanding international debut of the Kazakh
Tazy breed. At the 2025 World Dog Show in Helsinki, Kazakh dogs won seven top
awards, marking their first appearance as a distinct breed provisionally
recognized by the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), or International
Canine Federation. Five Tazys earned titles, including “Junior World Champion,”
“World Champion,” and “Vice World Champion.” In addition, two were named
Champions of Finland. The Tazy is recognized as a national treasure of
Kazakhstan and is among the seven treasures of the Kazakh people. The world’s
largest dog show brought together 25,000 dogs from dozens of countries.
