The final bouts of the World Boxing Cup took place in
Astana. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev watched the matches alongside the fans.
During the break between fights, he met with and spoke to the athletes of the
national team.
«Congratulations on your victory! Boxing is a sport for
those strong in spirit - a unique discipline. I wish you all continued success.
The state will always support you, and I am confident that boxing in our
country will continue to grow,» Tokayev said.
The World Boxing Cup in Kazakhstan brought together 250
boxers from 29 countries. This tournament is a crucial stage for athletes, as
its results significantly affect international rankings and bring them closer
to earning an Olympic license. Some of the strongest Kazakh boxers competed in
the event.
