Today, President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev received UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin. The Head of State expressed
his appreciation for the support and attention the country has received from
the organization. Football is popular in Kazakhstan, with over one million
people engaged in the sport. The President voiced support for cooperation with
UEFA in educational and exchange programs aimed at enhancing the professional skills
of young players. In turn, the UEFA President noted that close cooperation has
already been established with the Kazakhstan Football Federation. At the end of
the meeting, President Tokayev awarded Aleksander Čeferin the Dostyk Order of
the II degree for his contribution to the development of sports in Kazakhstan.
