Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the
Presidents of the International and Asian Weightlifting Federations (IWF and
AWF), Mohammed Jalood Al Shammari and Mohamed Yousef Al Mana. As the Head of
State noted, 20,000 Kazakh citizens are currently engaged in weightlifting on a

federations is essential. In turn, the federation leaders highlighted the high
level of the Kazakh school of weightlifting and the existing conditions in

Asian countries. The IWF President also mentioned that Kazakhstan is among the
most likely candidates to host the licensing qualifying tournament in
weightlifting for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. In conclusion,
President Tokayev awarded Mohammed Jalood Al-Shammari and Mohamed Yousef Al
Mana the Order of Dostyk (Friendship) of second degree for their contribution
