Eight domestic athletes will demonstrate
their skills in Kazakh kuresi competitions across eight weight categories at
the upcoming fifth World Nomad Games. Among them is Meirzhan Bereketov, who has
remained undefeated in his 15-year career. Currently training intensively,
Bereketov will compete in the 60-kilogram category. His sports club, Kyzylzhar
Arlandary, is confident in his success, as its athletes are regarded among the
best in Kazakh kuresi.
«Our athlete previously won a silver medal at
the World Nomad Games in the Kyrgyz Republic. This year, after winning the
national championship, he was selected to represent Kazakhstan in the
competition,» said sports club head Altynbek Aussagitov.
