Strategic partnership of Kazakhstan and China

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Wang Huning, Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Tokayev noted that Kazakh-Chinese relations have evolved into a comprehensive strategic partnership, attributing this achievement to the regular high-level meetings, which lay the foundations for advancing good neighborly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the extensive reforms carried out in both countries, emphasizing the importance of maintaining an active political dialogue.

“We are witnessing the successful implementation of the visionary and constructive policy of Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Belt and Road Initiative, and we certainly celebrate China’s successes. Your country is making steady progress toward the noble goal of becoming the most advanced and leading global power. I firmly believe that, under the wise leadership of President Xi Jinping, China will achieve even greater success in shaping a new era of China and promoting the concept of a community with a shared future for all humanity,” Tokayev shared.

“I am deeply impressed by the rapid development and the consistent improvement of living standards in Kazakhstan under your leadership. You delivered a remarkable speech at the opening ceremony of the third Belt and Road Forum, putting forward a number of important proposals for cooperation. We have achieved significant results in ten years of strategic partnership within the Belt and Road Initiative through the efforts of all parties. You have maintained close contact with President Xi Jinping with numerous talks. Together you have also unveiled the next new “golden 30 years” of Chinese-Kazakh relations. China is ready to work collaboratively in line with the important agreements made by the leaders of both nations,” Wang Huning said.
