Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received OPEC Secretary General
Haitham Al Ghais. The parties discussed the situation in
the global oil market and issues of cooperation. The Head of State highly
praised OPEC’s efforts aimed at ensuring the stability of the global oil market and noted that he regards the
visit of the OPEC Secretary General as an important step in developing a
constructive dialogue between Kazakhstan and the organization. The President
emphasized that Kazakhstan supports the OPEC+ decision to gradually increase
oil production, while prioritizing the protection of national interests.
