Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Hungarian
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó. The Head of State noted
the high level of strategic partnership between the two countries and the dynamics
in implementing the agreements signed during his state visit to Budapest last
year. He noted that these agreements would also contribute to deepening the
comprehensive partnership. In turn, the Hungarian diplomat emphasized that his
visit to Astana is aimed at fulfilling the high-level agreements, with meetings
planned with representatives of Kazakh ministries. The two sides also discussed
expanding ties, including in the energy and banking sectors. At the end of the
meeting, President Tokayev awarded Péter Szijjártó the Order of Dostyk II
degree for his contribution to the development of Kazakh-Hungarian relations.
