Members of the People’s Headquarters for the Construction of the NPP,
including MPs, experts, and public figures, led by Senate Speaker Maulen
Ashimbayev, met with energy workers, metallurgists, expert community, and
active youth in the Pavlodar region. The event addressed current topics in the
energy sector and issues related to the upcoming nationwide referendum. During
the meeting, Ashimbayev emphasized that the widespread adoption of innovations
in production should contribute to reducing the carbon footprint of the
country. In this regard, it is crucial to actively address the problems of energy
shortages by generating electricity at facilities with minimal carbon dioxide
emissions. According to the meeting participants, the upcoming nationwide
referendum is of key importance for the development of Kazakhstan, and
comprehensive clarification of its goals and objectives is particularly
significant.
