Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Hungarian
business leaders. The investment roundtable, held as part of the state visit to
Budapest, resulted in the signing of seven commercial documents aimed at
fostering cooperation in areas such as agriculture, transport infrastructure
digitalization, and education. President Tokayev also invited company
executives to attend the Astana International Forum, where Hungarian businesses
will have the opportunity to expand their business contacts with Kazakh
entrepreneurs. Notably, the event is scheduled for May 2025.
«This year marks the 10th anniversary of our strategic
partnership declaration with Hungary, reflecting a decade of strong cooperation
built on mutual trust and shared objectives. Hungary’s investments in
Kazakhstan have accumulated to $370 million, signifying vast prospects for
future growth. We are proud to be home to more than 70 Hungarian companies,
including major players like MOL Group and Gedeon Richter. We are now
evaluating joint investment projects worth $540 million in the
machine-building, agriculture, and logistics sectors,» Tokayev said.
