The Days of Uzbek Culture were held in
Turkmenistan. As part of the event, visitors in Ashgabat had the opportunity to
explore the decorative and applied arts of Uzbek craftsmen. The exhibition featured
gold and silk embroidery, traditional clothing, wooden and metal crafts, as
well as unique jewelry and souvenirs. Each exhibit was designed to showcase the
country's rich cultural heritage.
«At this exhibition, visitors can explore the
products of our center, including items made from the widely known natural
material - straw. Our craftsmen use it to create paintings. This material can
maintain its appearance for thousands of years. I would like to note that the
skill of working with straw originated in ancient times, and we are reviving it,»
shared the representative of the crafts centre Akmar Mukhutdinov.
Uzbek singers, musicians, and performers from folklore
and dance ensembles also showcased their art. A grand festive concert featuring
their performances lasted several hours.
«We presented an extensive concert program, with
ensembles performing songs and dances. I would like to express my gratitude to
Turkmenistan and its people for the warm welcome and enthusiastic applause.
This inspires us to share our art and traditions,» noted Bakhodir Akhmedov,
First Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan.
