Exports of Kazakhstan’s processed products grow

In Kazakhstan, exports of processed products have increased by nearly 6.5 percent this year, while imports have decreased by more than seven percent. These figures were announced in the Senate, an Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament, by the country’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. He emphasized that the share of the manufacturing industry in the country has surpassed that of the raw materials sector – 47 percent compared to 45 percent. Additionally, support is being provided to local producers in the area of economic diversification. As part of public procurement, the list of goods purchased from them has increased from 1,500 to 4,500 items.

«As a result of these activities, the total value of contracts signed with domestic manufacturers increased by 55 percent and reached 350 billion tenge. The overall value of off-take contracts this year amounted to 134 billion tenge, which is 14 times higher compared to the previous year,» noted Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.

Parliament ratifies treaty to establish International Russian Language Organization

The Kazakh Parliament has also ratified the treaty on establishing the International Organization for the Russian Language. The document has already been supported in Russia, Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The new intergovernmental organization with an international legal personality is expected to promote cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries, as well as communication and the development of partnerships in the fields of education, science, and technology.
