The
integration of artificial intelligence into Kazakhstan’s education system is
being actively expanded, as confirmed by the figures. According to the Ministry
of Education, over 165,000 teachers are
receiving
free annual access to ChatGPT Edu from
OpenAI. The platform helps educators automate routine tasks such as creating
lesson plans, developing tests and assignments, and adapting learning materials
to students’ proficiency levels in Kazakh, Russian, and English. Alongside
access to the technology, training is being provided for education sector employees. Overall, the project
will cover up to 200,000 education professionals. At the same time, teachers’
digital literacy is growing. Thus, more than 250,000 educators have completed
professional development courses on working with AI, with the relevant ministry
reporting an average 28% improvement in knowledge.
