Applications are now open
for Kazakhstan’s state-funded educational grants, giving recent school
graduates the opportunity to pursue higher education at universities across the
country with government support. Applicants can submit their documents until July
20 through university admissions offices, online services, or the e-government
portal. Nearly 75,000 grants have been allocated for undergraduate programs,
with the majority designated for technical fields. Minimum high school
graduation exam scores have been set, including 75 points for Education and
Law, 70 for medical programs, 65 for national universities, and 50 for other
higher education institutions. Universities may also set additional
requirements. Support measures and state quotas are available for applicants
from rural areas and socially vulnerable groups. Much of the selection process
has been automated, enhancing the transparency of the competition. The names of
the grant recipients will be announced by August 10.
