Previously unknown manuscripts of Saken Seifullin presented in Satpayev

Previously unknown manuscripts of Saken Seifullin, the founder of modern Kazakh literature, were presented in Satpayev. The city hosted a national scientific and practical conference dedicated to the writer’s anniversary. This year marks the 130th anniversary of Seifullin’s birth. In honor of this anniversary, various events are being held nationwide to study and promote the creative legacy of the prominent Kazakh poet and writer.

«We have dedicated three books to Saken Seifullin. His musical legacy had not been fully explored before. As an artist, I decided to transcribe 15 of Seifullin’s songs into sheet music. I found them in the golden fund and through Kazakh citizens who were familiar with them. To date, we have recorded and released 14 of these songs,» said scholar Serik Ospanov.
