Kazakh series wins at festival in South Korea

Another global recognition for Kazakh filmmakers: The domestic series «1286» won the Best Asian Contents award at the Busan Festival. The series tells the story of the abduction and sale of people into slavery. Notably, it is a creation of director Alisher Utev. This year, the festival program in South Korea featured over 200 films from more than 60 countries. The competition included films from South Korea, China, and Taiwan, as well as projects from renowned companies such as Netflix and Disney+.
