Last
year, 33 new industrial enterprises were launched in Kazakhstan, covering a wide range of sectors,
from mechanical engineering and metallurgy to the light industry. In
particular, two automobile plants were commissioned, with designed annual capacities of
120,000 and 70,000 vehicles. In
the metallurgical sector, iron and ferroalloy smelting facilities began
operations. A complex alloys plant was also opened in the Karagandy region,
where ferrosilicon is produced,
needed for steelmaking, aluminum production, and
electronics. In the chemical sector, enterprises implemented projects with a
combined capacity of up to 100 million meters of rubber and plastic products
per year. Another plant will
produce up to 10,000 tons of methylethanol per year. These enterprises have attracted 840 billion tenge in
investment, strengthening the country’s industrial base.
«In
2025, Kazakhstan launched the production of ten new types of products in
sectors such as heavy engineering, the automotive industry, and paper
manufacturing. These projects will strengthen the competitiveness of finished
goods, promote
import substitution, and expand the export potential of domestic products.
Taken together, these measures will have a positive impact on the country’s
economy,» said Mukhamed Andakov, Deputy Chairman of the Industry Committee at the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Construction.
