Kazakhstan continues to
strengthen its position as one of the region’s most dynamically growing digital markets.
Last year, the volume of IT services reached a record 2.9 trillion tenge, nearly
doubling year-on-year. Domestic
companies remain the main customers, accounting for around 87% of
the market. At the same time, exports of digital solutions are growing, with
demand from foreign clients rising by nearly a third. Software development,
testing, and data processing services are among the most sought-after. Big Data technologies are also
gaining wider adoption. Today, they are used by more than 4,000 enterprises
across Kazakhstan, primarily in trade, information and communications, and
construction. Almaty and Astana continue
to account for the largest share of the country’s IT services sector, together
making up more than 90% of the market.
