Over 400 events planned for 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Ethnic Assembly

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan. Over 400 events will be dedicated to the anniversary of the institution of harmony and unity. All of them aim to strengthen peace and develop national identity in the country. The series of anniversary events will kick off with a national online forum, which will be held in the capital on March 1, in celebration of the Day of Gratitude. Throughout the year, charitable campaigns, social projects, and cultural and creative contests will be organized in the country’s regions. Special attention will be given to working with youth and supporting their initiatives. The primary focus will be on international cooperation, particularly with UNESCO and the Council of Europe. Additionally, the «Assambleya Zhastary» organization is expected to join several international youth communities, expanding youth partnerships across Central Asia.

«It is very important for us that any interaction with our foreign partners opens new opportunities for Kazakh youth. Specifically, with UNESCO, this means providing Kazakh youth access to projects in the fields of culture, volunteering, and science, where they can integrate. As for our colleagues from Central Asia, we aim to ensure a high-quality youth exchange within the Central Asian region. This exchange of knowledge and experience also opens significant opportunities for our youth and for the youth of the entire region as a whole,» noted Timur Jumurbayev, Chairman of the Assambleya Zhastary organization.
