The National Bank of Kazakhstan has issued
new collectible coins from the «Subsoil of Kazakhstan» series. It symbolizes
the richness of the country's land, with the first coin representing the
chemical element copper from the periodic table. It has a denomination of 1,000
tenge and a total mintage of 1,000 pieces. The coins are made of 925-grade
silver, each weighing about 33 grams.
«This series aims to highlight the richness
of Kazakhstan’s land. As part of the series, silver coins are planned to be
produced using new technology, featuring inserts made from chemical elements of
the periodic table,» noted Dana Magauina, chief specialist of the Banknote and
Coin Design Division at the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
Previously, the ASTANA QALASYNYŃ BAS
MESHITI collectible coins from the «Mosques and Cathedrals of Kazakhstan»
series were released into circulation. These coins are dedicated to the largest
mosque in Central Asia, the Astana Grand Mosque. Another coin, FATIMA QOLY, was
the sixth one in the «Magical Symbols» series. Both coins have a denomination
of 1,000 tenge.
