The presentation of
the first academic collection of works by the renowned scholar and educator
Akhmet Baitursynov took place in Astana. The publication consists of five volumes,
compiling scientific works, reports, articles, monographs, letters, and
questionnaires written by Akhmet Baitursynov. These were printed in tote zhazu,
which is based on Arabic script and created by the prominent Kazakh educator,
as well as in Cyrillic script. Researchers emphasized the work’s significance
for world science. An electronic version has also been released and will be
available to all turkologists, enabling them to explore the earliest scientific
publications by the founder of Kazakh linguistics in Arabic script.
«This collection
includes scholarly commentaries by Akhmet Baitursynov on his works. He also
compiled a dictionary of various terms, such as toponyms. In it, he explains
the origins of certain names and shares related legends. This is what sets this
academic collection apart,» noted Aigul Ismakova, the collection’s chief editor.
