Kazakhstan to develop series of constitutional laws

By April 30, the Presidential Administration will prepare draft constitutional laws On the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and On People’s Council of Kazakhstan and submit them for consideration by the Head of State. Within the same timeframe, the Government must submit draft constitutional laws on the status of the capital and on administrative-territorial organization to the Mazhilis. In addition, by July 1, the Government, as well as all state bodies, are required to align their regulatory legal acts with the new Constitution. The corresponding order was signed by the Head of the Presidential Administration as part of the implementation of the Head of State’s Decree. Notably, oversight of the execution of these instructions has been assigned to the State Legal Department of the Presidential Administration.
