On Victory Day in Astana, Kazakh State Counselor Erlan Karin laid flowers at the monument to the Halyk Kaharmany, Hero of the Soviet Union, and writer Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. His life path remains a benchmark of constructive patriotism, honor, and selfless service to the homeland, Karin emphasized. The State Counselor particularly noted that the feats of Kazakh heroes are forever embedded in the people’s memory. He recalled that, following the Head of State’s directive, the names of Sagadat Nurmagambetov, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, and Rakhimzhan Koshkarbayev have been assigned to the classes of the Order of Aibyn since 2024. On December 24, 2025, the 115th anniversary of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, the Kazakh President signed a decree awarding him the title of Halyk Kaharmany.

the hero’s relative, Zeinep apa. This year became a year of historical justice,» Erlan Karin noted.
