The international recognition of the Kazakh passport continues to grow. Today, Kazakh citizens can freely enter dozens of countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America — either visa-free or through simplified procedures. Visa-free entry is available to destinations such as South Korea, the UAE, Oman, Morocco, and Thailand, as well as Azerbaijan, Belarus, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Haiti. Kazakh travelers are permitted to stay visa-free for up to 90 days in 14 countries and up to 30 days in another 18 countries. Overall, Kazakh citizens can travel visa-free to nearly 80 countries worldwide.
«There is a major international agency called Henley & Partners.
According to its
2025 index, Kazakhstan has risen to 67th place. Ten years ago,
the country ranked 76th, and its citizens could travel visa-free or through
simplified procedures to around 60 countries. Now, that number has increased
and is approaching 80. The Kazakh passport has become more recognizable and
influential, and today it is rightfully considered one of the strongest in
Central Asia,» said Madiyar Ismailov, Head of the Consular Services Department at the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
