Kazakhstan attaches great
importance to strengthening comprehensive cooperation with Saudi Arabia,
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said during a meeting with the Kingdom’s
Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Faisal bin Hanif Al-Qahtani. The Head of State
highlighted Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud’s
personal contribution to advancing bilateral cooperation and reiterated his
invitation for a state visit to Kazakhstan. The Ambassador underscored his
country’s strong commitment to deepening the strategic partnership with
Kazakhstan, noting that recently signed agreements on the mutual protection and
promotion of investments, along with the establishment of an intergovernmental
Coordination Council, provide new opportunities to expand mutually beneficial
ties. He also conveyed the gratitude of Saudi Arabia’s leadership to President
Tokayev for the support provided amid the challenging situation in the Middle
East and further emphasized the significance of Kazakhstan’s initiative to
offer a platform for potential peace talks in Turkistan.
