Kazakhstan, U.S. seek to deepen cooperation

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the U.S. President’s Special Envoy for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor. The Head of State noted the high level of Kazakh-American cooperation and reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to further strengthening the expanded strategic partnership with the United States. The two sides discussed the implementation of joint trade, economic, and investment projects, as well as prospects for cooperation in priority areas, including critical minerals, transport, logistics, and digitalization. Particular attention was given to the activities of the Board of Peace, of which Kazakhstan is one of the co-founders. President Tokayev expressed gratitude to Donald Trump for the invitation to participate in the G20 Summit in Miami. In turn, Sergio Gor noted that the President of the United States highly values the activities of the Head of State. Overall, the U.S. seeks to increase the momentum of contracts with countries in the region. Over the past year alone, deals worth more than $20 billion have been concluded.
