The comprehensive deepening of the strategic partnership
between Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic was discussed today at a meeting
between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Chairman of
the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration.
The Head of State emphasized the importance of his first official visit to
Astana following his appointment, highlighting its role in further
strengthening the bonds of friendship and alliance between the two brotherly
nations.
«I would like to particularly emphasize the dynamic nature
of the development of Kazakh-Kyrgyz cooperation. The official visit of the
esteemed Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Japarov to Kazakhstan last year gave a new impetus
to our bilateral relations,» Tokayev said.
The Head of State emphasized that one of the key tasks for
the governments of both countries is to ensure the full implementation of all
agreements reached at the highest level. This includes exploring new
opportunities to expand trade volumes, facilitating the prompt launch of the
Industrial Trade and Logistics Complex at the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border, and
creating favorable conditions for transit and transport connections. In turn,
Kasymaliev noted that all tasks set by the heads of state are being thoroughly worked
out in collaboration with Kazakh counterparts. Special attention during the
meeting was given to the implementation of joint investment projects and
cooperation in the water and energy sectors.
