Kazakh President receives Minister of Culture and Information

This year, Kazakh art was presented for the first time at world-renowned art venues: the Venice Biennale and the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts. Kazakh books were also showcased at the world’s largest Frankfurt Book Fair. Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva reported on the ministry's achievements and activities to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In 2024, a new law on mass media was adopted in the country to enhance the status of journalists, and a special tax regime was introduced to support representatives of the creative industries, alongside the opening of 10 hubs. The Head of State instructed that preparations for significant events next year, such as the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, the 80th anniversary of Victory in the World War II, as well as the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, be placed under special control.
