The Days of Kazakh Culture were held in the Tyumen region of
Russia. Representatives of the region’s national cultural organizations
participated in the celebration. The guests were introduced to the traditions
and customs of the Kazakh people. The exhibition of national patchwork quilts,
created using an ancient technique, aroused great interest. Vocal and dance
groups, along with family ensembles, performed on stage. During the event,
families who have made a significant contribution to preserving national
cultural traditions were honored. Notably, around 40,000 Kazakhs reside in the
Tyumen region.
«We have gathered here to showcase our traditions and
customs, national dances, demonstrate the sounds of the Kazakh kui and the dombyra,
and, of course, how our children preserve these traditions,» said resident of the
Tyumen region Askar Kaliyev.
«We study the Kazakh language and read in it, with both
children and adults learning alongside us. Kazakh families living here observe
all traditions, and we also organize Kazakh games. We host national Kazakh
celebrations, for which we specifically set up a yurt,» shared resident of the
Tyumen region Gulmira Yerkimbekova.
