Kazakh President meets with Head of Sakha Republic

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Head of the Sakha Republic Aisen Nikolayev, who arrived in Astana to attend the opening ceremony of the fifth World Nomad Games. They discussed strengthening interregional cooperation and expanding connections. Tokayev highlighted the potential for increasing bilateral collaboration across various sectors, including industry, trade, IT, agriculture, and the extractive industry. In turn, Nikolayev expressed gratitude for the warm welcome, noting readiness to work together in priority sectors.

President Tokayev hosts Rais of  Sakha Republic 

The Head of State also held a meeting with Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, emphasizing the importance of implementing joint projects in machinery and petrochemicals. For his part, Minnikhanov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the opportunity to participate in the fifth World Nomad Games, which symbolize the shared history and traditions of Turkic peoples and the entire nomadic civilization.

Head of State meets with Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslakhaty

Tokayev then met with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan. The Head of State noted that Kazakh-Turkmen relations are developing successfully and align with the level of strategic partnership. Berdimuhamedov noted the high role of Astana in the organization of major international events that enhance the country’s global standing and wished for the successful hosting of the fifth World Nomad Games.
