Agricultural production
in Kazakhstan has increased by nearly 5.5% since the beginning of the year,
exceeding 8 trillion tenge. Minister of Agriculture Aidarbek Saparov reported
this to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev today. According to the minister, agricultural
exports have also risen, reaching $4.7 billion. This growth was driven by government support measures such as
preferential lending at 5% and an expansion of agricultural financing to one trillion tenge. Kazakhstan
is currently developing a unified digital ecosystem, e-APK, which will
integrate subsidies, land management, crop and livestock production, fish
farming, and existing state information systems. In line with the President’s directive, a comprehensive
livestock development plan will also be adopted. Tokayev instructed
officials to further improve the sector’s efficiency and strengthen national
food security.
