The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) has
expressed interest in further supporting Kazakhstan’s infrastructure
development. Over the years of partnership with the financial institution,
significant progress has been achieved in key sectors such as support for small
and medium-sized businesses, energy, and agriculture. This was discussed during
a meeting between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and EBRD President Odile
Renaud-Basso. Last year, the volume of investments doubled compared to 2023,
reaching nearly 1 billion euros. The Bank’s leadership reaffirmed its commitment
to continuing support for the development of transport infrastructure, the
energy sector, and green economy projects.
