The presentation of online premiere of the short film “Batyr” took place within the framework of the International Human Rights Day. The presentation was organized with the support of the UN. The film is a participant of eight prestigious international film festivals and winner of awards for the Best Short Film and the Best Actress at a festival in Great Britain. In addition, the short film was included in the main competitive program of film events in Canada, U.S., Italy, Japan and Russia. The film is based on real events.
“Our film doesn’t blame anyone. It does not call for action. It simply shows a new form of modern reality in which, unfortunately, a person of the 21st century lives. Our goal is to make people think and become more humane, empathic by revealing the mental sufferings of a victim. We tried to do our little bit to solve this big problem,” said the producer of ‘Batyr’ film Laura Sapa.
