Law faculty professors from Yasawi University will have the
opportunity to enhance their qualifications and undergo practical training at
the Justice Academy of Türkiye. The university will also collaborate with other
partners of Kazakhstan’s Law Enforcement Academy under a memorandum signed
today in Astana during the International Congress of Lawyers. The event
commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Academy and Kazakhstan’s chairmanship
of the Turkic Judicial Training Network. Experts and heads of justice and
oversight institutions from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, the Kyrgyz Republic,
Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, alongside diplomats and representatives of
international organizations, are participating. Discussions focus on scientific
and educational cooperation, as well as joint efforts to counter transnational
threats within the Organization of Turkic States, including cybercrime,
organized crime, extremism, and terrorism.
«The theme of this congress is highly relevant today. There
is close cooperation between the Academy of Law Enforcement Agencies of
Kazakhstan and the Law Enforcement Academy of Uzbekistan. We frequently meet at
such events, including a similar one held last year in Tashkent, Uzbekistan,» said
Ilyosjon Kadirov, Head of the Registrar’s Office Center at Uzbekistan’s Law
Enforcement Academy.
«The Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s
Office is celebrating its 10th anniversary today. Over the past decade, the
Academy has become an active participant in various international networks,
such as those for legal cooperation among prosecution and judicial bodies in
Central Asia and the South Caucasus, as well as for asset recovery. Kazakhstan
plays an active role in these initiatives, working closely with counterpart
institutions in the region and beyond,» said Madina Sarieva, Head of the UNODC
Programme Office in Kazakhstan.
