Aktobe is hosting a series of commemorative events marking
the 100th anniversary of legendary sniper and Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya
Moldagulova. A documentary about her life and legacy was screened at the museum
named in her honor. During the visit, schoolchildren viewed rare historical
photographs and learned about her heroic deeds. As part of the 80th anniversary
of Victory, 100 events dedicated to Moldagulova’s memory are planned across the
Aktobe region.
«Our main goal is to show the younger generation, through
Aliya's example, what selfless love for the homeland looks like—and to spark
their interest in history through the heroism of this legendary sniper,» said Zhanar
Maksutova, Director of the Aliya Moldagulova Museum.
